I really want to put some subs in my truck, 2 12 inch subs ideally, but i want to know if they will fit or what my options are? has anyone ever done this? i dont know if they'd fit under my back seats or behind and i don't want to lose any seating in my truck. i have installed a sony head unit and 6.5 inch polk audio speakers in my doors that sound good but i definitely want subs too. also some recommendations on cheaper subs would be great i'd like to save money wherever possible

do you want shallow mounts?? cuz you can get a box for shallows and they will fit behind the seat!! How are your polk speakers, thinking of putting some in my car... If i were you just get polk subs...

i have an 01 1500 ext cab w/ 2 10" JL audio W3 subs in a prefabbed box under the seat. I am a big fan of 12's also, this would be my first set of 10's and they are not punks... I have not seen a prefabbed box for 12's to go under the back seat, i dont think they make 1. You could have 1 built or build it yourself but the lack of room under the seat will restrict a 12's recommended air space. I recommend mid-level 10's. the sound quality will be better than 12's in a box thats to small. I also recommend JL Audio subs. Personally i have had numerous pairs and i like all of them. I believe their base model is the W-0 witch is a good sub, they were my first pair. The W-3 witch i have now is great and with a box they didnt break the bank.... hope this helps....
