We bought a used 96 Savana conversion van for our family. This size works for us so we don't mind the extra gas. This van will be our daily driver. Should I drive the van in 3rd gear instead of D because most of the time I will be going less than 50mph? The van has had the transmission rebuilt at 100k and it now has 174k. I've read in different places that the overdrive is not good for city driving but I would like to confirm with anyone here if they find this to be accurate.
