Will a 2001 GMC Suburban driver seat fit on my 2006 chevy avalanche?

my seat belt on my 2006 chevy avalanche doesent work which means i have to replace the whole seat because the seat belt and air bag is connected to the seat so im wondering if i can put a 2001 GMC Suburban driver seat instead of my old driver seat with the messed up seat belt?

do not play the radio/cd or anything --- key OFF to change out the seat ... get your measuring tape and write down the spaces of the bolt positions of both seats as they fit to the cab floor ... that way you know if the sizes are the same and will fit -- most likely yes ... key off __ unplug wires under the seat and then remove the bolts ... those bolts are tough so use a 1/2 drive socket and get good leverage (using the same bolt in the same hole will be easier going back together.. THE other thing will be to consider that the plugs match ... if the plugs don't match then you must find the same seat or go to an upholstery shop and get an estimate of repairs ..

Hi,

Ive got a 1994 Suburban 2500 4x4.

Does anyone know what year is the most recent front end body change that will fit my suburban?
In other words, Id like to update the look of my Suburban and need to know what year will bolt on.

It seems like there must be a website with this info but Ill be darned if I can find it.
