Will my 2003 GMC Sierra 1/2 ton hold 1 ton of wood pellets in the bed?

I do not have a trailor and want to load the pallet of pellets in the bed. Is 1 ton to much for my GMC 1500?
 
2000lbs is going to overload your truck . It will carry it a short distance, and I'm sure your not the first person to do it...
 
If you don't have too far to go. Make sure your tires are properly inflated. Don't drive too fast. Stop often to check your tires for excessive heat
