My transmission went out on my blazer and I was wondering if my Engine would fit in a 99GMC jimmy, Im thinking it wont, but i just want to make sure before i turn down the opportunity.

if they are both the 6 cylinder then they will work. blazer an jimmy are same trucks and use the same motors

The 95 will fit, but will not work. The year the 1996 Jimmy will work are from the years 1996 to 2002.
1996–2002 - 4.3 L (262 cu in) Vortec 4300 L35 V6, SCFI, 190 hp (142 kW)/250 lb·ft (339 N·m) (VIN W)

The 1995 was a mix bread on it's own, that's why there are not many engine upgrades or performance parts for that year. 1995 - 4.3 L (262 cu in) Vortec 4300 L35 V6, CPFI, 195 hp (145 kW)/250 lb·ft (339 N·m) (VIN W)

Here are to other years on the first generation Jimmy engine family.
1992–1994 - 4.3 L (262 cu in) Vortec 4300 L35 V6, CPFI, 200 hp (149 kW)/260 lb·ft (353 N·m) (VIN W)
1993–1994 - 4.3 L (262 cu in) LB4 V6, TBI, 165 hp (123 kW)/235 lb·ft (319 N·m) (VIN Z)

Good luck and hope this helps answer your question. ;)
