Hello,

I'm trying to help my son's girlfriend resolve an intermittent issue with her wipers. They work sometimes, and turn off randomly. I reseated the plug to the wiper motor, but assuming that wasn't the issue what else can I try? Is there any lubrication points? This is a 1998 Jimmy that's had ZERO TLC during it's poor abused life.

Suggestions welcome!

Sounds like a cracked pulse wiper circuit board, there common to fail from a bad solder. If your handy with a soldering gun, you can try to re-solder the connection points throughout the board or you can buy a new one at most auto parts store.

If its not the board it self, then its a good chance that its the multi switch leaver that has a bad connection. You can try spraying some electrical cleaner which you can get at radio shack. But in most case, its going to be a bad circuit board. The board is where the wires you have mentioned in your post is connected to.

Keep us posted and its a easy 15 min job to replace.

WOW that's great! And a cheap fix too. I'll try this out in the next few weeks and post back. Thank you very much!
