getting fuel from fuel pump through fuel filter but not into throttle body.will start if you put fuel into throttle body

I'm having a simlar problem,is yours a 4.3L?

So you have fuel at the output of the in line filter... Follow the tube up towards the engine, looking for places that have been damaged. If you make it to the engine, loosen the next fitting you find, crank the engine & see if fuel squirts out. If it does, tighten it back upi, & follow to the next fitting, until you loosen a fitting that doesn't squirt fuel. You blockage is between the two fittings....

Inspect your ICM wire leads and have your ICM tested. ICM (Ignition Control Module) help's with the fuel system by indicating to the ECM when to activate the injectors. A bad ICM can not send the signal to the ECM for it to control the injector giving you a situation your having.

Here is a link for you to retrieve your DTC codes and we can go from there. Keep me posted and be glad to help you get your Sierra running 100% again soon.

What does the fuel pressure look like?

Will not be your fuel pressure regulator, and it's built in to your throttle body. Most likely it's going to be your ICM as mentioned, or the wire harness to your ICM from corrosion. The fuel pressure should be 14 PSI to have it run 110%, but you need a T in line with your throttle body and fuel line with a shredder valve to check the fuel pressure.
