I just noticed that the wheels are pitting/peeling. Of course, I am at 40K miles so past the warranty. Dealership doesn't really care. My sister has an 09 Yukon Denali and same thing happened but she got her wheels replaced after warranty expired. She's a lot crankier than I am. Anybody else have this problem and know of a good solution?

The peeling and pitting are caused by poor wheel prep, leaving contaminates below the finish. GM is more than aware of this problem, it was noted as early as 1998 with the Camaro wheels, crappy plating over a crappy cast aluminum wheel.

GM will not replace them. Guess they're ok with their $60000 2 year old truck rusting. Very disappointed in the company my dad spent his life working for. On a positive note, my dealership is covering it. Maybe loyalty counts for something.
